Aleksei Kimel works on ultrafast spectroscopy of condensed matter with an emphasis on magnetism and ultrafast magnetization dynamics. He became Associate Professor at Radboud University in 2013 and is now a full professor and Head of Department in the Institute for Molecules and Materials. He is also Director of the Institute for Molecules and Materials, one of the largest research institutes in the Faculty of Science.
