He works on nanophotonics, topological photonics, photonic integrated circuits and electromagnetic metasurfaces, with interests spanning plasmonic enhancement in thin films and quantum photonics simulations. His PhD is from IIT Kanpur, for which he received the Best Ph.D. Thesis Award from the Indian Laser Association at NLS-31 in 2022. He previously worked in the utilities industry, including at NTPC Ltd., and has done postdoctoral work on integrated quantum photonics at IISc's Photonics Research Laboratory.
