Legislative Fellows Program

Funding: Stipend paid in installments; exact dollar amount not published on site (candidate's cited range of $5,118-$8,400 could not be confirmed on the page itself). Who can apply: Must be presently enrolled in a graduate program at a public or independent college/university in Maryland or the surrounding region; at least 18 years old; 3.0+ GPA; strong writing/analytical skills; able to work 20 hrs/week in Annapolis. Not open to undergraduates. Length: Begins as early as October or as late as January, depending on placement; concludes in the final week of the legislative session (session runs 90 calendar days from second Wednesday in January through April). Direct placement in Maryland General Assembly offices, committees, caucuses, or Department of Legislative Services during the legislative session. Field: Public Policy and Government.
