Switzer Environmental Fellowship Program

Funding: $17,000 cash award, paid in two installments (June and January). Who can apply: Graduate students (master's or PhD) enrolled at an accredited institution in California or one of the six New England states (ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI), pursuing environmental studies/careers and demonstrating leadership potential; must be enrolled for the full academic year of the fellowship. Length: 1 year. Lifetime membership in the Switzer Fellowship Network, leadership development programming, networking and grant opportunities for alumni. Field: Environmental Science and Climate Policy. Deadline: Annual deadline in early January (e.g., January 5, 2026 for the 2026 cohort); next deadline expected around early January 2027.
