Dissertation Research Grant

Funding: Up to $5,000 (USD). Who can apply: AAR student members in good standing at time of application and throughout the grant period; must have completed all doctoral degree requirements except the dissertation at time of application; open to any sub-discipline within religious studies. Intended to offset dissertation research-related costs such as travel and lodging. Field: Religious Studies and Theology. Deadline: Late September annually (e.g., September 22, 2025 for the 2025-2026 cycle); check current-cycle date on AAR site.
