Conservation and Scientific Research Fellowship

Funding: Junior fellows: $47,000 stipend; Senior fellows: $57,000 stipend (both plus $6,000 travel allowance). Who can apply: MA graduates, PhD candidates, postdoctoral scholars, and senior scientists/researchers in conservation or conservation science; junior fellows must hold an MA by the fellowship start date (September 1). Length: One year (September 1 - August 31), per current cycle. $6,000 additional travel allowance (up to six weeks of research travel); access to the Met's conservation labs, scientific research department, and collections; mentorship from Met conservators and scientists. Field: Museum Conservation Science. Deadline: November 14, 2025 (for the 2026-2027 cycle, 5:00pm ET); recurs annually with a similar mid-November deadline.
