Funding: $5,000 stipend, paid in two $2,500 installments (fall and spring). Who can apply: Second-year graduate (master's) students in urban planning, architecture, urban design, historic preservation, public policy, or public health, typically at NYC-area universities (e.g., Columbia, NYU, Pratt). Length: Academic year (September–April), up to 12 hours/week. Direct placement with NYC community boards, hands-on community planning experience. Field: Urban planning / urban design / community board planning support.
