National Federation of the Blind Scholarship Program (NFB)

Funding: Up to $8,000+ across ~30 awards; average scholarships in the low thousands. Who can apply: Legally blind in both eyes, US/DC/Puerto Rico resident, pursuing full-time (or limited part-time) post-secondary study including graduate/professional degree programs. Length: One-time award. Mentorship, national convention attendance (travel supported), networking with blind professionals. Field: Disability (blindness), graduate and undergraduate. Deadline: Spring cycle (typically March); finalists announced ~May, awarded at July convention.
