Central Eurasian Studies Summer Institute (CESSI): Title VIII Fellowship

Funding: Full tuition coverage plus a $3,500 stipend for living expenses. Who can apply: US citizens who are current graduate students, incoming graduate students, post-baccalaureate scholars, or working professionals studying a Central Eurasian language. Length: 8 weeks (June–August). 8-week accelerated program equivalent to one year of language study. Field: Foreign language institute (Central Eurasian languages: Kazakh, Uzbek, Azerbaijani, Mongolian, etc.). Deadline: Spring (varies by year; check cessi.wisc.edu/apply).
