Harry S. Truman Fellowship in National Security Science and Engineering

Funding: Annual salary of $123,300 ($139,600 in California), plus an annual budget of up to $100,000 for research expenses, equipment, personnel, and travel. Who can apply: PhD completed between October 1, 2024 and October 1, 2027 (or completion of PhD requirements by appointment start). Must be able to obtain a DOE security clearance (typically requires U.S. citizenship) and submit a research proposal aligned with national security. No prior postdoctoral appointment at a national laboratory. Length: 3 years.
