Marshall Foundation Dissertation Fellowship

Funding: $10,833 stipend for the award term. Who can apply: University of Arizona doctoral candidates with an approved dissertation proposal who have advanced to candidacy, expect to graduate within about a year, are U.S. citizens or permanent residents with Arizona residency, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher, and can demonstrate financial need. Cannot hold a concurrent graduate assistantship or student wage position during the award. Length: One academic term. Full base graduate tuition and student health insurance covered for the term of award; one recipient is also designated the Dr. Maria Teresa Velez-Marshall Dissertation Scholar with no separate application required. Field: Dissertation Completion. Deadline: Late October annually (October 25, 2025 for the Spring 2026 cycle; a new call issues each year as funds become available).
