Dr. W. Burghardt Turner Dissertation Fellowship

Funding: $10,000 per year, disbursed in two semi-annual installments. Who can apply: U.S. citizen or permanent resident; doctoral student at Stony Brook University; advanced to candidacy (G5) prior to requested semester; no prior Turner Fellowship funding; demonstrated history of overcoming disadvantage or impediment to higher education success; preference to low-income, first-generation, AmeriCorps alumni, and military veterans. Length: One or two years. Departmental supplementation (TA/GA/RA appointment) required for 2-year awards. Field: All disciplines (university-wide, diversity-focused).
