Barr Fellowship

Funding: $75,000 grant to the Fellow's organization: $25,000 for the leader's personal development/renewal and $50,000 for organizational resilience and staff wellness. Who can apply: CEO/Executive Director/Co-Director of a Massachusetts-based 501(c)(3) (or fiscally sponsored org) with operating budget $500K-$5M, 75% of activities in Massachusetts; minimum 3 years in current role and 3-10 years of nonprofit executive leadership; full-time New England resident; excludes government agencies, hospitals, K-12 schools and higher ed. Length: 15 months. 50 hours of executive/organizational coaching, ~16 days of cohort programming (retreats, peer learning), lifelong alumni network. Field: Nonprofit executive leadership development and organizational sustainability. Deadline: June 30, 2026 (annual, varies year to year).
