Health Equity Fellowship (HEF)

Funding: Funded -- UHF underwrites 20% of each fellow's salaried work time to free them up for the program; exact dollar figure not published, verify with UHF. Who can apply: Early- to mid-career physicians and nurses currently practicing in New York City (primary care, specialty care, behavioral health, community-based clinics, FQHCs, or hospital systems); a practicing-professional track, not a degree program. Length: 18 months, up to 12 fellows per cohort. Equity-centered leadership curriculum blending policy and systems-change training; partnership with a community-based organization on an action-learning project addressing a specific health equity need.
