Bill Finerfrock Health Policy Fellowship

Funding: $8,000 stipend paid directly to the fellow, plus a separate $2,000 stipend to the fellow's employer; lodging and travel expenses fully covered by the program. Who can apply: Mid-career rural health professionals who are current NARHC members (Certified Rural Health Clinic Professional certification recommended); NARHC Board and Policy Committee members are excluded. Working professionals, not a degree/student program. Length: Either one continuous 4-week period, or two separate 2-week periods, during May, June, or July. Hands-on health policy/advocacy experience working directly with NARHC's government affairs team in Washington, DC; direct exposure to federal rural health policymaking. Field: Rural Health Policy Leadership. Deadline: 2026 cycle closed; 2027 Fellowship application expected to open Fall 2026.
