Funding: Competitive stipend commensurate with experience, plus round-trip travel, medical insurance, and $5,000 in research/travel funds. Who can apply: Senior practitioners (not necessarily academics) demonstrating leadership, innovation, and impact in the practice, defense, or support of democracy and public policy; scholarly credentials not required; advanced English proficiency required for non-US citizens; foreign nationals need valid passport and J-1 visa eligibility. Length: Academic year (Aug-May), or one semester (fall Aug-Dec or spring Jan-May). On-campus residence; delivers at least one public lecture during stay; access to Kellogg Institute intellectual community. Field: Public policy / democracy studies practitioner fellowship. Deadline: October 1, 2026 for the 2027-28 fellowship (letters of recommendation due October 7, 2026).
