American Society of Hematology Research Training Award for Fellows (RTAF)

Funding: $70,000 for one year of protected research time; up to 4 recipients/year may apply for a second year of support; additional $1,000 the following year for ASH annual meeting attendance. Who can apply: MD or MD/PhD researchers 0-4 years from completing residency, enrolled in a hematology, hematology/oncology, or related training/fellowship program (exceptions considered for slightly-over-4-years applicants in some cycles). Length: One year, renewable to a second year for a limited number of recipients. Protected time for basic, translational, patient-oriented, or outcomes research; ASH annual meeting travel support; virtual office hours with volunteer mentors (English and Spanish) for grant-writing guidance.
