Hanna H. Gray Fellows Program

Funding: Salary/stipend commensurate with postdoctoral experience, ranging from $80,000 to $104,382/year, plus additional support totaling $50,000/year for research and career-development expenses. Who can apply: Postdoctoral scientists conducting research at an HHMI-eligible institution, with no more than 7 years of postdoctoral training experience as of December 15, 2026 (must already hold a PhD and be in an active postdoctoral position). Length: Up to 2 years of support (1-year term, renewable for a 2nd year). Up to 2 years of postdoctoral salary/stipend support (renewable for a second year based on progress); additional funding intended to support the transition into an early-career faculty position. Field: Biomedical and life sciences research (postdoc-to-faculty transition support).
