MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026 (European and Global strands)

Funding: Living, mobility and family allowances per EU Horizon Europe MSCA unit-cost rates; EUR 399.05 million total call budget, approximately 1,600 projects expected to be funded. Who can apply: PhD holders of any nationality (European strand: mobility rule applies - cannot have resided/worked in host country more than 12 of the last 36 months); Global strand: open to European nationals or long-term EU residents. Length: 12 to 24 months (European); Global strand 12-24 months outgoing plus mandatory 12-month return phase. Career-restart and reintegration strand for researchers displaced by conflict or returning to research; strong emphasis on cross-sector/cross-border mobility and training.
