About this listing
Applications are invited for a Research Assistant position in the group of Prof Alexander Jones at the Sainsbury Laboratory, Cambridge University. The cellular dynamics of the plant hormones, particularly auxin, underpin plant development and environmental responses. The Jones group at SLCU have extensive experience in probing the functional relationships between hormones and plant developmental plasticity by engineering and deploying high-resolution biosensors in living plants. This post will involve supporting the molecular cloning, plant husbandry and quantitative imaging for projects aimed at unravelling how auxin processes environmental cues into cell growth decisions. Applicants must have or be close to obtaining a degree in Plant Developmental Biology or related field.
