REU Site: Natural and Synthetic Mechanisms that Alter Biological Processes

An NSF-funded Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) site at Xavier University of Louisiana (New Orleans, LA) in the biological sciences: undergraduates spend the summer on a research project with a faculty mentor. It takes about 30 students a summer for 10 weeks. NSF pays REU students a stipend and funds participants who are US citizens, nationals or permanent residents.
