REU Site: Statistical Mathematics and Research Training (SMART)

An NSF-funded Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) site at Marist College (Poughkeepsie, NY) in the mathematical and physical sciences: undergraduates spend the summer on a research project with a faculty mentor. It takes about 9 students a summer for 8 weeks. NSF pays REU students a stipend and funds participants who are US citizens, nationals or permanent residents. Dates and how to apply are on the programme's page. NSF funds the award to 2028.
