The Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer’s Disease and the Aging Brian is seeking a talented and highly motivated scientist with strong expertise in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology for the position of an Associate Research Scientist. The position will involve participation in NIH-funded projects aimed at understanding the mechanisms of neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental diseases. The projects employ multidisciplinary approaches in the areas of genomics, RNA/protein biochemistry and neuroscience using cellular and animal model systems. We are primarily interested in candidates with wet-lab experience in animal models and microglia primary cultures. The core focus areas are innate immunity, tau and amyloid pathology, single- cell/single-nucleus transcriptomics, proteomics.
