Postdoctoral Studies On The Function Of Circuits And Neuron Subtypes (Scholarship) Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research? Division The Meletis laboratory, in the Department of Neuroscience, has an open position for a postdoctoral fellow to investigate the function of circuits and neuron subtypes for motivated behavior and decision-making, including circuit dysfunction in mouse models of stress and mood disorders. Duties The research will focus on the functional investigation of neurons and circuits in shaping motivated behaviors through a number of advanced circuit approaches to target, record and manipulate genetically-defined neuron subtypes. The project will investigate the in vivo role of specific neuron subtypes in shaping discrete aspects of motivation and decision-making using genetic and viral enhancer-based labeling approaches in relevant circuits (e.g.
