HFSP Postdoctoral Fellowships (Long-Term and Cross-Disciplinary)

Who can apply: Ph.D. conferred before the fellowship starts and not more than 3 years before the full proposal deadline; at least one lead-author research paper; must move to a new host country and cannot work in country of nationality; basic life science research only. Length: 3 years (36 months), non-renewable. Child allowance, parental leave allowance and relocation allowance where applicable; deferral up to 24 months. Field: Basic Life Sciences. Deadline: Annual: letter of intent typically May, invited full proposal typically September (2027 cycle: LOI 2026-05-12, full proposal 2026-09-24, both closed).
