Research Fellowships (science and engineering)

Funding: Full payroll cost covered by the Commission; expense allowance of GBP 10,000 per year (life scientists can apply for an additional GBP 10,000 per year). Who can apply: Recent PhD (or completing one in the year of application) with normally no more than 2.5 years of postdoctoral experience by 31 January of the application year; research in physical or biological sciences, mathematics, applied science or engineering. Length: Typically 3 years, held from 1 October. Access to the 1851 alumni community; fellows may be employed by their institution or self-employed.
