Postdoctoral Researcher in Advanced Brain Imaging in Neurodegenerative Diseases Novel advanced molecular imaging technology with PET enables us to detect and map pathological changes in neurodegenerative brain diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease. Our research aims to develop and characterize new PET tracer molecules which provide new insights into pathological mechanisms long before symptoms of memory problems occur and will make it possible to develop new therapeutic targets for disease modifying therapy in personalized medicine design. Our Translational Molecular Imaging Lab has a strong translational approach for characterizing the complex pathophysiological features of Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative proteinopathies with focus and understanding of the interplay of neuroinflammation with amyloid, tau and synaptic dysfunction in brain and biofluids.
