Works at NIST on information and cyber security, including network intrusion detection, access control, and blockchain technology and its security applications. He received a 2018 NIST Bronze Medal for advances in computer-network defense and a 2019 Condon Award with Dylan Yaga for writing on blockchain technology. He also co-authored the NIST Definition of Cloud Computing with Timothy Grance.
